11.1 / how it all started
eleven got started some day back in 1998 when a young swiss snowboarder by the name of franz bittmann started to get seriously tired of the fact that having just bought his 3rd snowboard jacket in 3 seasons, he thought he had finally found something really special. However, also this time that same jacket passed him on the slopes on the very first riding weekend. Dissatisfied with the situation, and being the self-made-man he is, he decided on the spot that there was only one remedy to this misfortune. So he went out, bought some fabric and a pair of scissors and started creating his very own personal outerwear. and what a surprise, it turned out looking good enough that shortly after all his buddies wanted one of these outfits too. and since franz now faced the initial problem again, there was no other way but to continuously expand the line, and growth hasn’t stopped since.
In the meantime the brand is present all over switzerland and also the rest of europe is growing rapidly with continuously increasing brand presence in germany, austria, france, italy, spain, uk, czech republic and russia. The ideal that fuels the productivity of the eleven design team remains still the same: being ahead of the game in creativity, offering the freshest and most unique styles, being on the cutting edge in technical performance, details and featuring of the garments and more than anyting else, positioned right next to the heart of snowboarding and freeskiing.
